A few observations about being outside in -27 degree temperatures (an experiment with the wind chill):
-
- Fingertips go numb after a few minutes (in gloves)
- City streets become as quiet as a forest in Quebec
- Snow under your feet sounds about as pleasant as fingernails scraping a freshly cleaned chalk board

Anastacia Nanny Schinto-Osborne, 8, recited a poem by Countee Cullen during the 2016 Black History Month Opening Ceremony for Upstate Medical University.
The poem has been attributed to Harlem Renaissance poet Countee Cullen and also Eugene Useni Perkins.
