Author, Commentator and TV Host Roland Martin: one of the hardest working men in journalism
Journalist Roland Martin led a discussion at Syracuse University this evening about his career and current issues in journalism. During his opening Martin stressed the importance of personal credibility, diverse voices to tell stories and taking advantage of multi-talents as a journalist/business person.
Actor Taye Diggs, who earlier this week fought off an intruder at his home, came to Syracuse a few years ago and read from his book Chocolate Me. The event was held at the Greater Evangelical COGIC. Fellow SU Alum Shane Evans provided the sounds.
SU professor and short story writer George Saunders recently taped a segment with Charlie Rose and gave insight on his work flow and shared a few wonderful stories about upstate cities such as Rochester and Watertown.
