Team members Ed Mitchell, Jr., Ryedell Davis, Isaiah Gregory and Schenise Stevens described their summer program, located at the Southwest Community Center, and their attempt to branch out to other sectors of the city.

The Syracuse Shock Football Club, last year’s NAFL’s Eastern champs, began their season on Saturday by bullying the Elmira Evolution 76-19 at Henninger Field.  This year the Shock joined the Empire Football League, which has teams in Albany, Watertown, Plattsburgh, Glens Falls, Vermont, and  Montreal.

Pro basketball trainer Mark Williams, a native of Queens, NY, sent us an update on his hoops enterprise called Team Footprintz.  Williams has trained or collaborated with a who’s who of Big East basketball talent, including former Syracuse standout Nicole Michael.

Michael recently signed to play in the Italian pro league for next season.
