The latest Social Media Breakfast (#SMB) was held at the Syracuse Media Group Headquarters last week. Panelists included Kim Brown (SU), Teri Weaver (Syracuse.com), Dan Pacheco (SU) and Tim Robertson (Time Warner Cable). The nearly hour discussion focused on journalism trends, open and closed networks, generating content, page views for pay, social media vs. legacy media, and the pending death of the traditional press release.

Due to time constraints Pacheco, who also did some ground-breaking work with drone technology at Syracuse University, didn’t get to talk about Google Glass with the group.
