Clowns, simply are, to steal a phrase from Malcolm Gladwell, a little bit weird, and a whole lot wonderful (at the same time).

Chiefs shortstop Adrian Sanchez

Chiefs shortstop Adrian Sanchez

A few things we noticed during today’s Syracuse Chiefs matinee contest vs. The Gwinnett Braves: the crowd was great for a noon time start, Adrian Sanchez made a fashion statement with his compression undershirt, and lastly that there’s no way that the umpires should have missed the call during the six inning when they mis-ID’d Mel Rojas Jr’s foul ball as a home run (we had a vantage point near right field). Fans often give umps a hard time at NBT Bank Stadium, but this wasn’t even close. The Chiefs ended up losing the game 3-2.

Sanchez went 1-for-4 in today’s game, including a single during the 9th inning rally.
