Former Charlottesville Mayor Maurice Cox visited Syracuse (School of Architecture) in 2004.
Maurice Cox served as National Endowment for the Arts Design Director and supervised the Mayors’ Institute on City Design (MICD). He was also named a “Master of Design” by Fast Company Magazine.
MICD East, which is meeting in Syracuse this week, prepares mayors to be take the lead as designers of their cities.
This residence at 317 Marcellus Street was designed by the Cook + Fox firm in New York City.
The firm’s partners are Rich Cook, a graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Architecture, and Robert Fox, Jr., a graduate of Cornell University.
