The Chiefs finally put an end to the losing streak and beat the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders 4-2 today. Matt Reynolds went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Logan Darnell made his first start for the Chiefs tonight (against Scranton Wilkes-Barre). In five innings of work, he gave up nine hits, six runs and walked three. He also struck out three batters. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre won 9-7.

Syracuse pitcher Phillips Valdez

Thursday night the two pitchers had a good duel going for most of the game. Their final numbers were as follows: Valdez pitched 6.2 innings, gave up give hits, three earned runs, and stuck out seven; meanwhile  Justice Sheffield pitched 5.1 innings, gave up eight hits, two earned runs and struck out six. Sheffield was also hit by a line drive (left shoulder), but stayed in the game. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre won 9-5 in extra innings.

Nate Bourdeau scored a late second half goal and Syracuse FC downed Greater Binghamton FC 4-0 tonight. Jake Kohlbrenner scored three goals. The team goes on the road for their three games.

Chris Dominguez belted a homer to center field in the bottom of the 5th inning.

The Syracuse Chiefs fell to the Pawsox in the first of their three-game series tonight. The final score was 3-1. Syracuse got its lone run from a homer by Chris Dominguez in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The homer was the second for Dominguez this season.
