Giles and McGriff: Students of Grace
Keith Herring Muhammad and Brenda Muhammad, along with Focusing Our Resources for Community Enlightenment (F.O.R.C.E.) held a tribute for (Sensei) Vinson Grace on Saturday. The program included family tales, a short film, story-telling, and various martial arts demonstrations. SIF Advisory Board Member John Giles (left), a 2nd degree brown belt and Robert McGriff, a black belt, began martial arts training with Grace when they were children.
Giles and Choi
Syracuse University graduate students John H. Giles, Jr. and Eunyoung Christina Choi attended the 2010 Association of American Geographers meeting in Washington, DC last week.
Choi presented a paper titled: Everyday Practices of Bordering and the Threatened Bodies of Undocumented North Korean Border-Crossers.
Giles is a SIF Advisory Board Member.
John & Veronica
Congratulations to SIF Advisory Board member John Giles and his bride Veronica. They were married on Saturday at Eternal Hope Worship Church in Syracuse.
