There are numerous benefits about Syracuse joining the ACC: the history, the tradition, the rivalry, and of course, the fans. Today at the NCAA East Regional Final open practice sessions, we had the pleasure of meeting a gracious lady known as the CSPAN Mom.  Despite her recent celebrity status and invitation to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, on this day inside the Carrier Dome, safe from the rain, Joy Woodhouse was just another fan who traveled here to have her team’s back.
She said she hoping for another miraculous run by N.C. State.

The SU Orange Women did all they could to guard against a hurricane, but the University of Miami proved to be more powerful than a winter storm or the windchill on Thursday.

The SU guard tandem of Peterson and Butler combined for 40 points in the 85-71 loss.

By 5:30 pm, drugstore as the temperature dipped to single digits and wind chills made things worse, ailment students were packing up their tents and leaving Boeheimburg. They will return to line up again on Friday, but then they will be inside the temperature-controlled Carrier Dome. A record crowd is expected for the SU v. Duke game on Saturday.
