Syquan Ralands powers to the hoop in Sunday’s game against Clinton Community College.
OCC Men’s Basketball freshman Syquan Ralands contributed big for the program’s two wins over the weekend. On Saturday he scored a team-high 24 points in a 69-63 win against North Country Community College (he also grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds). In Sunday’s 76-66 win against Clinton Community College he earned a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

LeMoyne junior Kobe Nwandu scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebouds in the team’s home. The team defeated Adelphi 83-74.
Author and educator Dr. Emad Rahim was the latest to present for the Strathmore Speaker Series in Onondaga Park. He talked about his journey of resilience from Cambodia to Brooklyn and Syracuse.
Today it was announced that the Syracuse Chiefs have officially become the Syracuse Mets.
Sweet Honey in the Rock, a group of African-American female singers, visited Syracuse as part of the Malmgren Concert Series on Sunday. The group, who was accompanied by musician Romeir Mendez, is celebrating 45 years in the business. Nitanju Bolade Casel (pictured above), joined the group in 1985.
