Tonight SAS guard Lyric Jackson netted 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the Atoms’ 60-48 win over Waterville. She also had 5 steals.

SAS shooting guard Symir Torrence put Section III on notice as he went for 30 (9 above his season average) in the Atoms first playoff game against Oswego last night.

Torrence is a reason to keep an eye on the Atoms. He nearly amassed a triple-double (he had only 7 assists) during Friday’s 81-66 win. Up next for SAS is Indian River on Tuesday.

Malik Zachery (pictured) and West Genesee High went through plenty of emotions. They lost to Liverpool at the buzzer at home and also went on the road to beat Bishop Kearney at the buzzer.

Bishop Ludden guard Mika Adams-Woods drives for a layup during the third quarter of yesterday’s Zebra Classic matchup with CBA. The teams donned throwback jerseys for the occasion. Adams-Woods finished with a game high 21 points.
Warriors overcome Cougars in Zebra

Corcoran’s Jahaad Henry drove past Liverpool’s Najheir Johnson for 2 of his 18 points in the third quarter, but Warriors wore down the Cougars and won 74-57. Corcoran wore the retro Central Valley School uniforms for the Zebra Classic game.

Week in Review: Warrior Pride

Swingman Charles Pride (#5) exited CBA for Liverpool, but he definitely brought his game along. During a much-hyped early season test against Bishop Ludden (Peppino’s Invitational Tournament) he dropped 20 and blocked a few shots. But Pride’s efforts weren’t enough to overcome 22 points by Mika Adams-Woods. Ludden won the game 65-50.
