Bill Wharton, aka the Sauce Boss, played his regular December gig at the Dinosaur on Thursday night.

Bill Wharton is a traveling man. For a quarter century he’s been coming to Syracuse (in December no less) to spread good cheer, play his music, and cook gumbo. Last night he nearly went into chef attack mode when someone tried to rush ingredients into his cooking pot. The Sauce Boss plays when it comes to the blues, but does not play when it comes to his gumbo apparently.

Cooler heads prevailed and the roux continued to simmer.
