Musician/cultural attache'/tour guide Michael Heagerty may be the most interesting man in the city (kinda like a younger version of the Dos Equis guy). We appreciate his distinctly dapper personal style and thank him for taking time to explain to us the rules for last night's beard judging competition held at the Landmark Theater. Heagerty is pictured here talking about the virtues of someone's facial hair. He served as the emcee for the runway event as well.
The SU Zinda Dance Team participated in SU Rising last night. The program and candle light vigil, which was held at Hendricks Chapel, aims to raise awareness and stop violence against women.

In case you are unable to get to the city for New York’s Fashion Week, we suggest taking a look around at all the practical design you see on the streets here in Syracuse.
Altared lead vocalist Katrina Marie Eason shows off a stylish lei during a recent show (she also gave an impressive performance on the ukulele).
This photo was taken during a performance last week by Che’Zee. I send a special shout out to my man Maars (artist, performer, businessman) who always reminds me that footwear is also fashion.

We didn’t think DestiNY could top the musical performance we saw a few months ago, but we were wrong. Alisa Parmenter of ECG Promotions coordinated a fashion show/runway event at DestiNY USA last night that featured What You See is What You Wear, or every day fashion items (found in the mall).
The show was held in the mall’s spacious canyon area and drew a crowd that included shoppers, journalists, politicians and local executives.
