Ms. Rivers, a founding advisor to SIF, was the keynote speaker for the Teen Tech Program summer session commencement on Monday evening.  The event was held at the Vision Center on South Salina Street.

Below is a portion of her remarks, which skillfully interpreted and updated the essence of the “I Have a Dream” speech by Dr. King.

The “I Have a Dream” speech was given at the 1963 March on Washington 50 years ago on this day.

Jon and Julie Patterson of Auburn are both 6th generation dairy farmers. They were on hand during Dairy Day. Jon was the emcee during a live milking demonstration at the dairy cow birthing center.

Jon and Julie Patterson of Auburn NY are a 6th-generation DFF (dairy farm family). They were at the Dairy Cow Birthing Center today. Jon was one of the emcees during a live milking demonstration. Monday was Dairy Day at the New York State Fair.
