Big Head Bob, the mascot for candidate Robert Antonocci, seemed to be everywhere we turned during this year’s election season. Antanocci lost his race for comptroller.
Throwback Thursday: Master of Design

Former Charlottesville Mayor Maurice Cox visited Syracuse (School of Architecture) in 2004.
Maurice Cox served as National Endowment for the Arts Design Director and supervised the Mayors’ Institute on City Design (MICD). He was also named a “Master of Design” by Fast Company Magazine.
MICD East, which is meeting in Syracuse this week, prepares mayors to be take the lead as designers of their cities.
Release, Remember

Last night 35 dove-shaped, bio-safe balloons were released on the SU Quad to remember the students killed in the Pan-Am 103 bombing. Remembrance Week runs Oct. 19-25.

Students joined the vigil at the Wall of Remembrance.

The Rev. Dr. Tiffany Steinwert, dean of Hendricks Chapel, prayed with the Remembrance Scholars and students during the vigil.

Vice President Joe Biden stressed restoring the middle class today during a campaign visit for U.S. Rep. Dan Maffei (D). Maffei represents NY’s 24th Congressional District, which includes Cayuga, Onondaga, Wayne as well as part of Oswego Counties. Bill Clinton campaigned in Syracuse for Maffei a few years ago.
