Pitcher Edwin Jackson got the call and will be taking his pitching talents to Southeast to become the fifth man in the Washington Nationals rotation.
Chiefs pitcher Edwin Jackson pitched a marvelous five shut out innings last night and got 9 strikeouts. He also laid down a pretty good sacrifice bunt during his first at bat (and another not so good later on). Overall Jackson’s outing was impressive, and he got his second win.
In the first inning of Wednesday’s game Andrew Stevenson (right) and Irving Falu were so close on the base paths that they could probably hear each other breathe. They were both anxious to score, but Falu got called out at home. Nonetheless, the Chiefs scored 4 runs in the first and eventually defeated the Iron Pigs 10-6 after being shut out on Independence Day. This risk-taking Billy Ball is alright with us.
