The Comedy’s Best Kept Secret Tour blew into The Syracuse Funnybone on Thursday and marked the return of comedic native son, Dan Frigolette. Also on the bill were Rell Battle (Comedy Central, Key and Peele) and newcomer (to Syracuse) Matt Richards.
So far the tour has logged nearly 7,000 miles, landing in 52 cities for 66 shows (including Canada and Alaska). No topic for the Syracuse leg of the tour (which added Travis Blunt) as the comics went in on Bill Cosby, crazy politicians who choose to swim in Onondaga lake, social media etiquette, Ebola virus, re-defining ladies night, and life on the road.
We are hoping Frigolette will soon unleash the behind the scenes video footage, which has to be a cross between “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”
We wondered why this couple from Goodway Bakery gave out free samples of their rum cakes. But truthfully, once you had a taste of the buttery smooth concoction, it was almost impossible not to buy one. That or keep waking by to pick up another sample. Both the free prize and their overall ebullience made their booth very popular on Friday evening.
She is known for her comedy (and not gardening), but Yvonne Conte wrote a good piece on Linkedin about the power of pruning.
Cuse Culture Magazine co-founders Victoria Coit and Vanessa Campbell (right) made a presentation during their kick-off event last night.
Here are some of the photographs from the Cuse Culture Magazine launch party, which was held at the Nikao Events Company.
Nikao Proprietors Tina and Ken Hills with Coit and Campbell posed in the courtyard of their urbane establishment.

When it comes to getting in shape, training for sports, self-defense or fight choreography, there’s no better experts in Syracuse than H2 Fitness (JT and Alana) and the EMAT Center. We’ve seen their work up close. This morning JT Houston and Alana Hughes visited the Syracuse Open Martial Arts Tournament, which was organized by El Java Abdul Qadir and Excel Martial Arts.
