Watching her at the TEDxSyracuse University event this week was like seeing <a title=\"Lily Tomlin\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k9e3dTOJi0o\" target=\"_blank\">Lily Tomlin<\/a>, <a title=\"Tracey Ullman\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tracey_Ullman\" target=\"_blank\">Tracey Ullman<\/a>, or maybe even Tina Fey.<\/p>\n<p>Though she is a public speaker now (and trains others in public speaking), Conte was once a stand-up comic.<\/p>\n<p>From the time she began her talk&#8230;well, actually her talk began with\u00a0a joke about a scheduling mistake&#8230;Conte worked the crowd like she was doing a SNL monologue.<\/p>\n<p>Conte talked about\u00a0the happiness advantage and how it relates to work place enthusiasm, and eventually productivity. She\u00a0even allotted a portion\u00a0of her time for the crowd to literally hold their bellies and\u00a0belt out a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>All TED talks should be this fun.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can someone please tell us why Yvonne Conte does not have her own television show.
