DeStephano, Alton Lawson (pictured above, far left) and some of their friends began to develop a dilapidated\u00a0court at \u00a0Ormand\u00a0G. Spencer park (East Water Street) and make it a place to skate.<\/p>\n<p>Victor G. told me his friends wanted a public skating facility since there are times when skates get tickets for being on the road or sidewalks. After some civic finesse with the Parks Commissioner they got their wish.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to Wednesday, when it was\u00a0almost 50-degrees and Ormond Spencer Park, located near the vacated Kennedy Square\u00a0Complex,\u00a0 pulsated with\u00a0kick&#8230;push&#8230;jump,\u00a0and the sounds of skateboarders surfing on air.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back in 2010 Victor Guilefoy, A.J.
