(April 29) Hendricks Chapel was the site of the Walter Welsh Forum on Racial Reconciliation yesterday. Some of the participants included (clock wise from top center) Dr. Michael Battle (Author), Bea Gonzalez (President of Syracuse Common Council), Dr. Charles V. Willie (Sociologist at Harvard), Rev. Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows (Rector, Grace Church), Rev. William Barnwell (National Cathedral), Dr. Byron Rushing (Massachusetts State Representative), and Lyn Headley-Deavours (Justice Missioner for Episcopal Diocese of Newark). The event is a part of a year-long celebration of the legacy of St. Philip's Church, Syracuse's African-American Episcopal Church and 50 years of racial integration at Grace Church (Episcopal).
