(A conversation with pictures)

I used to put up a large canvas and I would just look at it. Then I would start to see lines and images. I was like a projector projecting onto a blank canvas and I used to follow it. I started doing a lot of pictures, but then I started to feel guilty because I felt like I was copying. Like it’s too easy. Then I stopped doing that for a while because I felt like I was cheating. I think I was at a stage where I didn’t understand. I think that’s what happens with a lot of artists and musicians and poets. For me…at that time I was not educated in the arts or things like that, so I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t understand inspiration. I felt guilty because these things were coming out of me and I felt I was cheating.
