(Jana concert at OCC)

 ---------------------------------------------------------

Pop singer, songwriter Jana came to Syracuse on Friday, October 24 and performed at Onondaga Community College as part of a celebration of Native American Month.

Jana is a member of the Lumbee tribe of North Carolina.

The performance was well-received and Jana was impressive, considering she became a professional singer only four years ago.

She sang a list of songs including "One Spirit", "China Night," "Kiss and Tell", "Oh Baby, Baby" and her award-winning "Stairway to Heaven".

The event also included an opening performance by students from Lafayette High School's Liberty Program and an inspirational spiritual message interpreted by Chief Oren Lyons.
