(October 15) PARADE OF CHAMPIONS: A historical marker was dedicated yesterday in Yeadon, PA to honor the 1925 Negro League Champion Darby Hilldales. Pictured at bottom (from left) are former Hilldale Bat Boy Ed Bacon, Ray Mackey, nephew of Hall of Fame player Biz Mackey and Negro League Baseball Players Association President and author and former catcher Stanley "Doc" Glenn. The Hilldales defeated the Kansas City Monarchs to win that 1925 World Series, and according to Glenn, the winner's share was $69.
