(SYRACUSE)--Apr 23--Scholar Cornel West speaks to an audience at Syracuse University's Hendricks Chapel today. His keynote address celebrated The African American Male Congress (AAMC) at SU and their eighth annual Talented Tenth Leadership Institute. West told members and the crowd present to confirm their blackness in a larger context that also affirms their humanity. "What can a blues nation learn from a blues people," he asked, as a reminder that America could learn a lot from the perseverance by African Americans through the political, social and economic struggles.
