HEROES FROM THE HILL--Sept 18--Former Syracuse University football players revisited their boycott during the 1970 season yesterday. The 35th anniversary panel featured six of the eight players who participated against the program and then coach head coach Ben Schwartzwalder. The players were protesting for: better medical care for injured players; stronger academic support for team members; assignment of starting positions without regard to race; and racial integration of the coaching staff. The forum was a part of the University's "Coming Back Together Weekend," which is a celebration of Black and Latino alumni.
